Learning outcomes
Doctoral students get acquainted with the phenomenon of spatial relationships that create and influence the current urban environment, at the intersection of aspects of urbanism, architecture and artistic realizations and interventions. Doctoral students aim to design artistic realizations in the current urban environment in the context of historical contexts associated with the development of cities and places - micro locations. The course includes theoretical and practical part. Doctoral students are acquainted with the issue not only through the mass model as a fundamental critical tool. The practical part of the course takes the form of discussions on various theoretical articles on approaches and working methods in artistic and architectural creation, especially in relation to composition, proportion, scale, rhythm, module and social function. It is a process of creative research, search and closer understanding of the "key" in design. All these conclusions are applied to our own series of model outputs related to selected topics. All theoretical principles, both artistic and architectural, will be verified and processed in the form of mass models. In this way, doctoral students form the skills necessary to understand all the contexts associated with the creative process and design in the context of public space. Doctoral students in this course make maximum use of the laboratory facilities of doctoral studies to demonstrate their conclusions in the form of mass spatial models.
