Course content
|
1. Adaptation to the study of geography in the form of exercises, tests, and geographic games. Developing the geographic literacy of a university student (reading, writing, graphics, computer technology, map in the field, map as a source of geographic information). Geography in the media, internet geography and cartography, geographic information systems. Writing papers, preparing presentations, way of quoting, plagiarism as unethical behavior. 2. The Earth's surface and its representation and the landscape of the Earth as an open system. Exoterrestric elements and phenomena around the landscape. Terrestrial elements and phenomena around the landscape. The complexity of the surrounding landscape system interacts with the complexity of the landscape system of the Earth. Consequences of interactions of elements and phenomena around the landscape with elements and phenomena of the Earth's sphere of the Earth (differentiation of heat flow, orientation in space and time, consequences on events in the components of the physical geographic sphere and in the components of anthroposphere, the relationship of described interactions with global problems and the search for sustainability of life. 3. The definition of geography as a science discipline and its social construction in Czech society. Teaching geography at elementary, secondary and higher education. Czech University Geography, Departments and Institutes, leading geographers. Workplaces where professional geographers work, comparison with foreign countries. Czech Geographic Society, Czech Geographic Scientific Periodical. Significant foreign geographic schools, geography in neighboring countries. Libraries' scientific libraries, their regime, study in libraries, the importance of a foreign language for the study of foreign literature.

Learning outcomes
|
he aim of the course is: A) To determine and strengthen the entry standard for the study of geography. B) Demonstrate the integral connection of theoretical knowledge with their map interpretation and perception of the real landscape as a geographical cognitive construction. C) To motivate students to search for information in literature and on the Internet about the origin, development and current state of geography. D) To fix the concept of the landscape sphere as an open system determined by its surroundings by two classes of formative interaction: a) focused on the conceptual basis, b) focused on activities with information objects and objects of the real landscape above this conceptual base.

Credit: Active participation in practice, elaboration of semestral work, successful graduation in test. Participation in terrain teaching. Details on the first practice. Exam: Isn't asked.
