Key learning outcomes
|
The general aims of the study programme can be defined as follows: Firstly, the future teachers of the above-mentioned subjects are familiarized with the main disciplines that form this particular subject having no direct background basis in any existing scientific field. The students will become familiar with the foundations of political science, sociology, economics, religious studies, philosophy, etc., as well as with chosen areas and topics that are currently being dealt with and that create important context or in some cases the necessary starting point for understanding the role and the function of social sciences in the current society. Secondly, the study programme's aim is to provide a sufficient theoretical and creative background that will lead to perception of school subjects: Civics and Basics of Social Sciences allowing subsequent further development of key civic competencies necessary for modern democratic society.
