This subject is the first of a three-semester practical English Language Course, whose objective is to improve the linguistic competence of students from level B2 to level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference. Included activities and materials contribute to the development of language production to achieve proficiency in both fluency and accuracy. Attention is also paid to extending both active and passive vocabulary inventory and practice in selecting appropriate collocations and grammatical structures. The goal of activities aimed at improving listening skills is to help students to understand the spoken word delivered at normal speed and in various varieties of English.
