The aim of this course is to introduce the students of special education into the subject of sociology. Contents of the course include issues as the socialization, social norms, social stratification, social inequalities, gender and racism. After completing the course, students will understand terms such as sociological imagination and sociological paradigm. They will also be shortly acquainted with the sociological classics as Durkhem, Marx and Weber.
