The student will be acquainted with the basics of evolutionary aesthetics. The aesthetic object and the ontology of a work of art are conceived consistently monistically, without the relics of dualism in contemporary aesthetics. Preferred aesthetic objects are the landscape and man with his specifics. The concept is derived from A.G. Baumgarten and supported by current knowledge about the structure and functions of the brain.
