The aim of the course is to acquaint students with social and cultural anthropology as a social science reflecting man as a social and cultural being. Students will be familiarized with selected key topics and universal cultural phenomena. Attention will be paid to the key anthropological concepts (culture, enculturation, cultural relativism, ethnocentrism etc.) During the seminars, students will deepen their knowledge of topics discussed in lectures using literature and film samples.
