Course content
|
Lectures (topics): 1.Theory of law: law, legal norm, sources of law. 2. Constitutional Law, Constitution of the Czech Republic, Fundamental Rights and Freedoms. 3. The European Union 4. Civil Law: Recodification of Private Law, Transitional Provisions of the New Civil Code. 5. Private law: concept, basic principles, binding legal norms, legal facts. 6. NOZ entities: concept, natural persons, legal persons, consumer, entrepreneur, representation. 7. Things: concept, division, part of the thing, accessories things, security. 8. Absolute property rights: concept, material rights, possession, ownership, co-ownership. 9. Property rights to foreign objects: concept, lien, right of remand, easements, right of construction. 10. Relative property rights: concepts, obligations, liabilities, changes in liabilities, securing and settlement of debts, joint debts and claims, contract, consumer contracts, legal obligations, torts and other legal grounds. 11. Basic concepts of commercial law: business, entrepreneur, business corporation.

Learning outcomes
|
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to build a legal consciousness of the student on the basis of knowledge of legal concepts that are important for understanding the law. Student will understand the basic legal concepts after successful completion of the subject and institutes. Student will be able to interpret legal transcripts, analyze legal order, and use general legal terminology to work with legal texts.
